The v1 beta

v1 Beta Released
v1 Beta is officially available!

Your first look at TickTrack.

This release is intended to help us take feedback while we are still in development, and let you test a subset of TickTrack's features.

v1 is focused on the social features; adding friends, creating groups, and sharing expenses. It is intended to be feature rich enough to replace any existing expense sharing app you might use, but it does not yet include bank syncing. This is so that we can get feedback as early as possible, without waiting for the lengthy security process required to release bank syncing functionality. Read more about the timeline for the full release here.

What's in the v1 beta

Import your old Splitwise data

We've built a simple way for you to migrate your existing shared expenses, so the switch is seamless. See the guide.

Split expenses with friends & groups

Record shared costs with your flat, split them evenly or by custom shares, and see who owes what at a glance.

Scan receipts

Split individual items off a receipt instead of logging a whole expense manually.

Track repayments

Easily record when you pay someone back. Optionally, you can turn on payment confirmation, so payments are marked as pending until you accept them.

What's still to come

The big thing missing from v1 is automatic bank syncing.

Before TickTrack can connect to your bank, we have to prove we're safe to do so. Akahu accreditation means undergoing rigorous security testing to show we can handle your financial data responsibly. That process takes time. So we're releasing the expense-sharing core now while we prepare for those checks in the background.

The app you can use today is the part that saves you time immediately. Manual entry, CSV import, and Splitwise import cover the "just split with my flatmates" use case really well. Account connection comes with the v2 beta, once accreditation is done. See where we're headed.

Where your feedback fits

This first beta is your chance to shape what comes next. When you hit something awkward (a flow, a label, a feature you wish existed), that's exactly the feedback we want. We'll take it into the next round and keep improving before the full release.

One thing to know: it's a beta, so expect rough edges. That's the point. You're here to help us find them. Tell us what trips you up and we'll fix it in the next build.
